Frugal Friday....
A package of hidden treasure! And a new "buzz" word to play with...Frugal Friday! This package of delicious possibilities came in the mail from my new friend, Nannergirl in Canada. She was part of the New Years Eve Countdown Challenge that I hosted at my Pieces from my scrapbag. As the Engineer for the Orphan Train, I work with spare parts, bits and pieces as well as Orphan blocks. I happily accept donations of such as those. Nothing perks me up faster than a challenge to make something out of what I am given *VBS* Thank you K, for adding new fun to my Frugal Friday.

Can't wait to see what you'll do with them Finn :)
Frugal Friday! I LOVE IT, Finn. We truly need to spread the "Frugal Friday: Pieces from YOUR Scrapbag" train across Blogland. Too many quilters become too obsessed with shopping and buying everything new and exciting...instead of looking at what they already have, with new eyes, an open heart and busy hands!
I, for one, just hopped on your train and am sewing with orphan strips, strings, and blocks today!! Frugal Friday!!!!
This is my first visit here, can't even remember how I got here, but I love your idea of frugal thinking. Here in Canada, near GM's main plant in Oshawa, we are seeing the terrible toll it is having on the economy. We feel it for all of North America.
Your quilt squares are really cute.
I looked at them and thought of trains even before I read the notes.
I'll pop in again.
Hi Finn! You come up with such clever ideas! Love your Frugal Friday idea! And you are still going strong with the Orphan Blocks! Yay! I love it! Is the ice on the lake breaking up yet?
