echoing through the cool stillness of small dark towns. A distant and lonesome sound that calls out to the drowsy sleeper of places far away.....
This Orphan Train backing and top comes to us in just such a quiet, far off way. A really, really sweet young blogger, who follows along, was inspired to try her hand at the Orphan blocks play. She wasn't sure she could, but just like the little train that kept saying "I think I can, I think I can", she worked at it..and she did it!!!The first picture is what she created with her odds and ends of Orphan blocks. It will be the backing if I understand correctly. The second, picture pesky houses defying being finished and united. She finished them up in a scrappy manner and turned them into a delightful top for her Orphan quilt...*VBS* Jenny, I think you did a super job with both!! We are delighted to have you on board with us for this Orphan Train block journey..*VBS* Do stop over and visit Jenny at http://welcometobloglandbabygirl.blogspot.com/ . Use the link on my sidebar...she's got some really wonderful and creative quilts to share with everyone!

Thanks Finn for using my quilt on this webpage. It's thrilling to be sharing space with other ladies just like me. (but different, which makes it all so interesting!)What a great collaboration. (sp?)
Jenny, you did great.
Cute and colorful and you got those houses to all fit in the neighborhood, too! Great job. So, now I'm wondering...what's going all with all of the chickens on our Orphan Train...eggs? egg money? food for thought? Gotta love all of these orphan chickens!!
