And it 's a GOOD one! Another of Jeanne's good ideas came to life in this variation on a string quilt. It's been a week or so since I saw this at Jeanne's, and altho I have had permission to use it, I was waiting for an o.k. from Corry at Dutch Blue. It seems that Jeanne had seen something similar at Corry's blog, which is http://dutch-blue.blogspot.com/ (the Sept. 18th post) and then made a few adjusts while creating hers. Do link over to Corry's and check out all the neat quilts she is working on these days! Plus, she's a hand quilter!! We are getting to be a "rare" breed, those of us who hand quilt in a hoop(or like Tonya, without the hoop!).
Jeanne never ceases to amaze me with all she gets done and how many good ideas she has for new quilts. Come back tomorrow for a peek at her blue orphan block quilt top!
P.S. I was just at Corry's Dutch Blue blog, and she's now put together another of the marvelous string quilts as a doll quilt!

That Jeanne is a clever one! What a beautiful creation!
Love the setting! I think you're all remarkable.
Finn! A whole pile of orphan strings hopped a train and hit the depot at my house! I have officially adopted them and am hoping to start a quilt with all of them soon! Right now, I am battling Google Reader and the End of the Internet. And if that weren't enough, Google's search engine pulled me out of the water closet and is claiming I'm a Dominatrix with a leather whip. Who knew? I sure didn't! You told everybody I was a 'liberated' quilter...is this your doings?
