Oh Happy Days are here again....

the sky above is clear again...come on, sing along with me *VBS* It's a HAPPY day...the Orphan Train has just picked up volunteer #30!!! Yup..I counted each of your noses this morning *VBS* Welcome aboard to Rose Marie in Canada *VBS* I'm just thrilled to welcome her on hoard and share her lovely orphan project with all of you.Seems Rose Marie has been reading our blog for awhie(sort of a 'lurker') and finally decided to drop me a line with her blog link and what she made with some of her orphans. These are the blocks that were in her orphan block bin...*VBS* And here is what she had to say about them:"Since there is so much going around on the web these days about orphan blocks, I thought it might be a good idea to glance into my bin to see what might be there. To my surprise, there is actually more than what I thought.

The Mariner’s Compass and lighthouse blocks (bottom of photo) will become a tote bag.

The rest, well, I can’t find any inspiration with them for now. I’ll hang them up on my design wall and see what I can do with them (I am determined).
Visit http://orphantrainsfromfinn.blogspot.com/ to see what is going on with orphan blocks and you will have loads of inspiration after one visit."
This little beauty is her finished project. I love the way she used this star block, and thought it might inspire some of you also!
Here is the other side of the bag...it all ties together so very well!! I hope you will link over and say "hello" to Rose Marie, she's just delightful to chat with via email, and I'm so glad she's on board with us. At her blog, Applique 'n' Patch Quilting, her orphan block project is under her September postings.
