Blogging with a Purpose...

I am finding this to be harder than I thought. There are so many blogs, and for so many different reasons. I have decided that my first nomination for the blogging with a purpose award is Michele. She shares herself with the world at With Heart and Hands, A Quilting Journey. It's also a journey of many other kinds. Congratulatins Michele *VBS*
**Wednesday** My second nomination for the award is Clare. She heads up the Quilts 4 Leukaemia blog. It's such a wonderfully purposeful blog..please do stop over and see the quilts and link to Clare's other blog at the top of the page. Congratulations Clare, keep up the great work you're doing.

Dearest Finn, You always bless me in all ways, so it is with great delight that I accept this esteemed Finn award as I hop on your train and begin each journey anew and renewed. Spring is just around the bend and as you left me me your charmed 'memory keepers' post on my blog...I was sorting scraps, strings and donated blocks to make another Orpan Train Quilt! So, I am double delighted, thrice blessed, she-nan-a-Finn-agained and ready to go along for the ride. I'll bring my little black Keira (Ebby's doppleganger) and we shall have such fun!!! Get Onbooooarrrdddd!!!!We're "Blogging With a Purpose!"

Dearest Finn, What a lovely surprise and I'm honoured to receive your Award. I wish I could help you out with your little orphans, but I haven't got enough yet - only hundreds of red and white blocks and they are definitely not orphans *vbs*.

Quilt No. 7 is just about to begin and I'm hoping we're going to get a No. 8 in the not too distant future.

Take care and big hugs

Any chance that any of you out there would be interested in making one of these for iKhaya LikaBaba, home for abandoned babies in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa (http://www.ikhayalikababa.co.za) or read my blog about my journey in setting up this non profit organisation at http://www.ikhaya-likababa.blogspot.com.
